My story
Why student led tutoring offers a better learning experience ?
Hi, I'm Victoria, a third -year Biological sciences student at the University of Surrey and the founder of Studiihub.
I started this tutoring company as I know how frustrating it can be to feel like you're trying your best, but things still aren't clicking. During my A-levels, Chemistry was that subject for me - no matter how much effort I put in, I kept falling behind and losing confidence.
What made the difference wasn't an expensive tutor - it was a student tutor. Someone closer to my age who explained topics in a way which made sense, didn't make me feel judged, and had just been through the same challenges. That support was real, relatable and more helpful than the traditional tutoring I'd tried before.
That experience stuck with me, inspiring me to become a tutor and launching Studiihub, a student-run tutoring company that puts confidence, student improvement and clear results first.
After tutoring GCSE and A-Level students for three years, I realised that many tutoring companies feel impersonal, overpriced, or outdated. A lot of them miss what students really need: someone who understands the pressure they’re under, connects with them on their level, and knows how to explain things in a way that works.

How we select the best tutor for you
We carefully match each student with someone who fits their subject, goals, and learning style.
Here’s how we do it:

We get to know you first
In a free 15-minute meeting, we’ll chat about what support you’re looking for whether it is: subjects, struggles, goals, and what kind of tutor you’d work best with. -
We listen to what matters to you
Some students want a tutor which explains topics in a simpler style. Others like fast-paced sessions with lots of exam practice. We take those preferences into account. -
We know our tutors well
Because we’re a small student-run team, we know each tutor’s strengths and style which allows us to make a thoughtful match, not just a random one. -
We’ll adjust if needed
If something doesn’t feel right after your first session, let us know and we’ll help you switch tutors or try a different approach.
